Maili Wong, named one of Canada’ s Most Powerful Women: Top 100TM by WXN started her financial career on Wall Street in New York City where she managed over $5 billion in assets for a global investment fund. During her 5 years in New York, she worked at Merrill Lynch where she specialized in equities, derivatives and opt ions and obtained her Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, the gold standard in global portfolio management.
With 20 years of international investment experience and impact, it’s no surprise that Maili’s perspective on wealth management is recognized in the media, including a cover story for MoneySense magazine, and stories in Forbes Magazine, The Globe and Mail, and BC Business Magazine to name but a few.
She is also the author of Amazon #1 Bestselling book, Smart Risk: Invest Like the Wealthy to Achieve a Work-Optional Life. A book that was inspired from 17 years of navigating through the ups and downs of the market and in life, beginning with a smart risk she took on 9/11 in New York City that saved her life. Maili lives in Vancouver, Canada, with her husband, Keith and two children.
